Bruce Lawson
Bruce Lawson evangelises Open Web Standards for Opera. He's been active in Web Standards since 2002, working with the Web Standards Project, the W3C Mobile Best Practices Working Group and developer education. He co-authored Introducing HTML5, the first full- length book on the subject.

Carolyn Chandler
Carolyn Chandler leads the User Experience practice for Manifest Digital, an interactive marketing and design firm based in Chicago's west loop. Carolyn has worked in the field of User Experience since 1996, alternating between software development and Web site design, each of which bring their own interesting challenges. Areas of focus include user research, interaction design, change management and UX practice development within organizations. Carolyn is the author of A Project Guide to UX Design with Russ Unger for Peachpit Press.

Christopher Schmitt
Christopher Schmitt is the founder of Heatvision.com, Inc., a small new media publishing and design firm. An award-winning Web designer who has been working with the Web since 1993, Christopher interned for both David Siegel and Lynda Weinman in the mid-90s while he was an undergraduate at Florida State University working on a fine arts degree with an emphasis on graphic design.
Afterward, he earned a master's in communication for Interactive and New Communication Technologies while obtaining a graduate certificate in project management from FSU's College of Communication.
Author of numerous Web design and digital imaging books, Christopher has also written for New Architect Magazine, A List Apart, Digital Web, and Web Reference. At conferences such as Web Visions and SXSW, Christopher has given talks demonstrating the use and benefits of practical standards-based designs. He is the list moderator for Babble, a mailing list community devoted to advanced Web design and development topics. On his personal Web site, www.christopherschmitt.com, Christopher shows his true colors and most recent activities. He is 6'7" and does not play professional basketball but wouldn't mind a good game of chess.

Colleen Jones
Colleen is the Founder and Principal of Content Science, a content strategy firm in Atlanta, GA. Colleen believes the best way to improve our designs is to understand our content.
She has more experience than she likes to admit, with leadership positions at Spunlogic (now Engauge Digital); the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC); and Cingular Wireless (now AT&T). She also has supported strategic initiatives for international brands such as The Home Depot and InterContinental Hotels Group.

Fabio Sasso
Fabio Sasso started working with the Internet in 1998 in Brazil. He founded the web site Abduzeedo in 2006 after a robbery in which he lost his computer and all his backup disks. The idea for the blog was create a place to share some of his experiments and design related content and, at the same time, back up all his personal work and creative processes.
After almost five years a lot has changed. Abduzeedo is now one of the design world’s most respected blogs for inspiration and tutorials. It draws more than a hundred thousand design enthusiasts a day and over three million a month. There are contributors from Brazil, the United States and everywhere around the globe. Fabio also has moved to San Francisco and has been working as Senior Designer at Google.

Giles Colborne
Giles has been working in usability and user centred design since 1991. He formed cxpartners with Richard Caddick in 2004 focusing on creating outstanding user experiences and measurable changes to projects and products.
Giles is a former President of the UK Usability Professionals’ Association and now sits on their Global Advisory Committee and international Conference Committee. He has worked with British Standards Institute in developing guidance on web accessibility.

Guy Kawasaki
Guy Kawasaki is the author of Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds, and Actions He is also the co-founder of Alltop.com, an “online magazine rack” of popular topics on the web, and a founding partner at Garage Technology Ventures. Previously, he was the chief evangelist of Apple. Kawasaki is the author of nine other books including Reality Check, The Art of the Start, Rules for Revolutionaries, How to Drive Your Competition Crazy, Selling the Dream, and The Macintosh Way. Kawasaki has a BA from Stanford University and an MBA from UCLA as well as an honorary doctorate from Babson College.

Kelly Goto
As an evangelist for "design ethnography", Kelly Goto is dedicated to understanding how real people integrate products and services into their daily lives. Goto is principal of gotomedia, LLC, a global leader in research-driven, people-friendly interface design for web, mobile and product solutions for clients including Seiko Epson Japan, Adobe, NetIQ, WebEx and CNET. Her book, Web Redesign 2.0: Workflow That Works, is a standard for user-centered design principles. Goto is also the editor of gotomobile.com, a leading online publication on mobile user experience and serves on the national board of the AIGA Center for Brand Experience.

Kristofer Layon
Kristofer Layon is a designer, design educator, and conference director who lives in Minneapolis, MN. His first iPhone app, ArtAlphabet, is an early childhood flashcard game that went on sale in the iTunes App Store in 2009. His company Aesthete Software, LLC designs iOS applications for clients in a diverse range of fields including medicine, photography, and education.

Marc McNeillMarc McNeill is a proven leader and passionate advocate of placing the customer at the heart of business. He has over ten years experience of IT, user centred design and customer experience consultancy with a focus on web strategy, programme definition and successful project delivery. He has worked with clients from financial, retail, government and entertainment sectors, giving him a deep insight into crafting compelling customer experiences to reflect different user needs and requirements.

Paul AdamsPaul is a Product Manager at Facebook, where he works on the design and development of new advertising products. He is recognized as a leading thinker on designing social interactions, and spent four years leading user research for Google's social web projects including Gmail, Mobile and YouTube. Before Google, Paul worked as a User Experience Consultant at Flow, leading research and design projects for clients including the BBC, The Guardian, Vodafone, UK Government and Betfair. Before Flow, he worked as an Industrial Designer, designing electronic appliances at Dyson and car interiors at Faurecia. Paul holds a first class Master of Science and a Bachelor of Design. He writes a popular blog at thinkoutsidein.com.

Shawn Welch
Shawn Welch has designed and developed iOS applications since the launch of the first iPhone in 2007. Most recently, Shawn has taken on the role of iOS designer and developer for Kelby Media Group and the National Association of Photoshop Professionals, developing apps for their online training site, Kelbytraining.com, and annual conferences and events such as Photoshop World.
A graduate of Kansas State University in Computer Engineering, Shawn has also worked as Senior Media Editor for Digital Strategy for Pearson Higher Education, Arts and Sciences, managing and producing digital technologies and mobile applications for Pearson’s college level A&S textbook division.

Stephen P. Anderson
Stephen P. Anderson is an internationally recognized speaker and consultant based out of Dallas, Texas. He created the Mental Notes card deck, a tool that's widely used by product teams to apply psychology to interaction design. He’s also of the author of the book “Seductive Interaction Design,” which explores this topic of psychology and design in more detail.
Prior to venturing out on his own, Stephen spent more than a decade building and leading teams of information architects, interaction designers and UI developers. He’s designed Web applications for technology startups as well as corporate clients like Nokia, Frito-Lay, Sabre Travel Network, and Chesapeake Energy.
Between public speaking and project work, Stephen offers workshops and training to help organizations manage creative teams, make use of visual thinking, and design better customer experiences.

Steve Krug
Steve Krug (pronounced "kroog") is best known as the author of Don't Make Me Think! A Common Sense Approach to Web Usability, now in its second edition with more than 200,000 copies in print. He has also recently published Rocket Surgery Made Easy: The Do-It-Yourself Guide to Finding and Fixing Usability Problems. He has spent 20 years as a usability consultant for a wide variety of clients like Apple, Lexus.com, Bloomberg.com, Magazines.com, Move.com, NPR, Kidzui, and the International Monetary Fund.
Steve's consulting firm, Advanced Common Sense ("just me and a few well-placed mirrors") is based in Chestnut Hill, MA. He currently spends most of his time teaching and consulting.
